Headache

Many patients attend clinic with headaches and neck pain. Sometimes these have been experienced for just a day or two, but occasionally for several years. These neck-related headaches (Cervicogenic headaches) are due to tight muscles around the neck and base of the skull pressing on the nerves that go to the top of the head, causing those nagging headaches. I was a long-term sufferer myself, so fully appreciate the draining and debilitating affect these can have. By identifying the underlying cause of why you have these extra tight muscles, (usually either use/posture- related or the result of compensations due to issues lower down the body), treatment can have a dramatic effect on reducing and eliminating these headaches.
